Faceless Echoes is a tale about four adventurers chased across time and space by a tall, faceless monster: the Slender Man. This tale is vast and branching, for at the end of each chapter, you decide what the intrepid wayfarers will do next. Will they survive? Will they perish in the dark? The choice... is yours.

Act One: Throne of the Dark King

Long ago, in a faraway land, King Ekkhardt ruled over his kingdom with a firm hand. For many years, he sat on his throne, an opulent despot for whom the word ‘consequences’ meant nothing. His son, Cassian, ever the rogue, despised his station, wishing to pursue his own ambitions and, much to the chagrin of his father, he found a lover in Adair, a petty but charming thief with a knack for getting into trouble. Bruno, the King’s scribe bursting with radiant knowledge, and Florian, the cunning jester of the court, watched as the two grew closer day by day while the rogue and his father drifted further apart. Little did they all know, however, that the kingdom was to be turned upside down by a dark and malevolent being from beyond their world; a master tall and pale, one with a face but no features… one with a servant soon to crash the King’s hallowed hall.  The tale that follows as the rogue, the scribe, the jester, and the criminal set out on a journey across the land is strange, and gruesome, and sometimes terrible… but with the paths you take in this winding myth, you shall be the one to shape its outcome.

Act Two: In the Void, They Dwell

Far from here, in a lightless place, a pale God dwells. When humanity chose to stare into the darkness, the darkness stared back. And when we ventured into it, we surrendered to its natural inhabitants. What seems like a routine mission, an adventure into the stars to save a crew forgotten by the all-powerful Dyson Enterprises, puts Cassian, Adair, Bruno, and Florian in peril aboard a derilect space station as they confront the echoes of their lives across millennia. Only you can determine if the wayfarers will become unbound...

About 'Slender for Gender'

Slender For Gender is a charity event run by and for the Slenderverse community in an effort to raise money in support of the transgender community, with all proceeds going to the Trans Lifeline charity. In Slender For Gender 2025, you could participate in a 25 chapter choose-your-own-adventure Slender-story like no other, where four adventurers were chased across time and space by everyone’s favorite tall, faceless monster. Twice daily at the end of each chapter, the community came together to donate to vote on which choice the characters made. This choose-your-own-adventure was later developed into Faceless Echoes.
